Stephen - Son and Daughter is a family run miniature railway that is available to hire privately for corporate functions, birthday parties, fetes, schools or other public events.
As our family all have an interest in railways and steam when the opportunity arose we jumped at the chance to purchase a 5-inch gauge steam engine.
We have a fleet of 5 Locomotives, 2 steam and 3 electric. We have a large powerful Red engine called "Warspite", she is a magnificent LMS Jubilee. Our other steam locomotive is a brilliant blue locomotive called "Bluebelle".
Our electric locomotives are "Neptune", a powerful green shunter and "Armiger" which is also a shunter however she is crimson lake (red) just like our steam locomotive. We have a brand new electric locomotive, called "Vulcan".
It was while visiting the village fete that we came up with the idea of starting our own business and taking our engine out on the road to entertain the young and old at a variety of different events, bringing a small part of the golden age of steam to a whole new generation.
Not only do we give rides to children of all ages at events but we also work with high profile customers. We recently attended the Harrogate Flower Show not only displaying a large floral arrangement in one of our coaches, but as part of the main display!
Our locomotives recently appeared on TV, on Michael McIntyre's Big Christmas Show 2019; we worked directly with him to help produce the opening for his show. This was a very exciting opportunity for us and we still can't quite believe that our little locomotives were on TV!
